Project SELF 2019

August 25, 2019 | Blog, Project SELF

Project SELF 2019 provided 63 Santa Ana high school students with paid internships.  Our goal for the program was not just give students a summer job, but to use the eight weeks to give them an experience that will expose them to career paths they never knew about and most importantly, inspire them to pursue a college education.  We wanted to expose them to things that they have never seen before, and help them shape their goals, and give them a path to their dreams.

Project SELF Summer Learning

July 14, 2016 | Blog, Project SELF

In July, this year’s Project SELF interns were invited to UC Irvine School of Law to learn what it takes to be admitted into college and law school. The group toured the campus and heard remarks from Dean Erwin Chemerinsky, a panel of young lawyers, and a panel of current UCI law students.

The next Project SELF field trip will give students the opportunity to visit the 4th District Court of Appeal in Santa Ana, where they will learn about the justice system and working in the courts from the firsthand experiences of the justices and staff.
