After 48 years, Project Youth gets a new home! 1605 E. 17th Street, Santa Ana, CA 92705
February 2017 marked a milestone for Project Youth OCBF with the purchase of a building in Santa Ana. Project Youth’s Board of Directors had a vision of an enduring location, and with the support of Farmers & Merchants Bank, vision turned into reality. In May 2017, after paint hit the walls and new flooring paved the way, Project Youth moved into its new home.
A Perfect Fit! Amazingly, everyone and everything fit with room to spare. Project Youth programs now have the atmosphere to provide optimum services to youth and families. Building highlights include a Higher Education Learning Center, complete with a six laptop station bar, colorful student lockers, and educational inspiration literally written on the walls.
The Right Stuff! Educational classrooms are featured both upstairs and downstairs, where small and large groups are accommodated in an open classroom style. Simple comfort is had on wheeled chairs of colorful seats of purple and green which easily nest to alter room design. Project Youth’s STOP SHORT of Addiction, ¡Cuidate!, Madres Unidas, Project SELF, and Higher Education Mentoring Programs all use these mobile spaces to teach and learn.
Meet and Greet! Visitors are greeted with a warm reception and wait in comfort in a welcoming area complete with informative TV programming and educational reading materials.
1605 E. 17th Street, Santa Ana, CA 92705 is more than an address . . . It is a permanent home for youth success! And as Dorothy says, “There is no place like home!”
