Sammy Award

Robert Samuel Barnes

Project Youth OCBF’s “Sammy” award is given each year to a recipient or recipients who have contributed substantially to Project Youth in order to assist it in best serving the youth and families of Orange County. The “Sammy” honors their commitment and unwavering support. The “Sammy” is dedicated in the loving memory of Robert Sam Barnes, a longtime supporter and friend who contributed greatly to Project Youth.

25th Annual Sammy Award

Sammy Award recipient William B. Grenner is a longtime supporter, past president and current member of the Society of Fellows and Board of Directors of Project Youth OCBF. He demonstrates an exemplary commitment to service and has supported Project Youth OCBF and the Orange County community through many years of dedication. Among his many contributions, Bill and his wife provide a Higher Education Mentoring Program student with a four-year renewable college scholarship each year, and he continues to be a major sponsor of our annual golf tournament. He is a valued volunteer and friend to Project Youth OCBF, and we know the entire Orange County community is fortunate for Bill’s tenacious commitment to its betterment. He is widely respected and well liked for good reason.
