Project Youth OCBF ends 2020 with a very successful effort of providing over 600 toys for youth in our community. We all want 2020 behind us with this world-wide pandemic changing how we live. However, for us we also want to remember the generosity and good that our supporters provided in 2020 to those most in needs. As always, Project Youth OCBF can count on the big hearts and caring people who support all we do for the youth and families we serve. This year our donors showed up in force.
We were able to provide hundreds of families with monthly food support, 1,800 people with a Thanksgiving meal and 600 kids with holiday toys. In total we provided over $95,000 in essential support since the pandemic took over in March 2020. This was in addition to our program services which continued both virtually and in-person all year.
Thank you to our key new pandemic relief effort donors including Project Youth OCBF Board of Directors, Associate and Emeritus Board members, our Food & Wine Society and Society of Fellows members, Charitable Ventures – OC Resilience Fund, TK Spirit Fund, Hands of Mercy and Northgate Gonzalez Markets. Thank you to our toy donors Festival of the Children, Judicate West, Array, EmbroidMe, and all our individual donors. To help assist in keeping our programs strong and available we thank the Jeffrey Carlton Foundation, Hoag Community Benefits Program, and the following foundations including Ueberroth, Green, Marisla, Lon V. Smith, OCBA Charitable Fund, Pac Life, State Street, Pfleger, Union Bank and all others who contributed not only this year but annually.
We leave you with these fun photos of Festival of the Children hosting a drive thru toy drive in our back-parking lot the week of Christmas – special thanks to Sandy Segerstrom and Eileen Daniher from Festival of the Children for not only donating toys but gathering their troops to come and hand out the toys.
From all of us at Project Youth OCBF we wish a very different 2021– a bright and safe New Year filled with hope and promise that things will be better!
